"CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program
built on constantly varied, if not randomized, functional movements executed
at high intensity."
CrossFit Founder - Coach Greg Glassman
CrossFit is not your typical gym or health club. Here
in Boulder Creek, we often workout outside, in the redwood forest. All
workouts will be tailored to your own, individual, fitness level. This
means that, whether you are an elite athlete, a mom looking for your kids
fitness, elderly, or in rehab, you will experience a workout that feels
like you have your own personal trainer, even in group settings.
The Boulder Creek CrossFit gym provides focus on all the typical CrossFit
exercises. We work on running, rowing, strength training, gymnastics,
and more. This is part of the CrossFit signature style of exercise. We
use ten measures to measure fitness: cardiovascular/respitory, endurance,
stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance,
and accuracy. Our exercises usually encompass a few of these fitness measures
at a time.

Our Boulder Creek Crossfit workouts will often combine
exercises in short burst of high intensity.
For example, a workout might be: Three rounds for time of 5 pullups,
10 pushups, 15 air squats.
Another day’s workout might be: run 800 meters, 15 box jumps, 20 wall
ball shots, 30 push ups, 1000 meter row.
These might sound hard or easy to you. That is okay. We have decreased
the intensity for children as young as 3 and increased it for Olympic
and World class athletes. In a world where going to the gym or health
club means getting lost in a large group class, this personal training
attention can be the difference towards maintaining ongoing health.
